About Atlas
Atlas Design & Build is a husband and wife led design build firm renovating homes across Bucks County, Montgomery County and the greater Philadelphia suburbs. We specialize in custom kitchen, bathroom, basement and whole home renovations for homeowners who want elevated design, quality craftsmanship and a renovation experience that feels clear, organized and intentional from start to finish.
We are John and Rachel. Atlas is what happens when twenty plus years of construction experience meets a husband and wife team that decided to do remodeling differently.
Our story
Atlas Design & Build was founded on the belief that homeowners deserve a better remodeling experience. Too many renovations are defined by poor communication, unclear pricing, missed timelines and contractors who disappear when problems arise. Atlas was built to be the opposite.
The name reflects the role we believe a builder should play. From planning and design through construction and final walkthrough, we carry the weight of the project so you do not have to.
Built to last. Designed to impress.
The team
Atlas is owned and operated by John and Rachel, a husband and wife team based in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
John brings twenty plus years of construction experience to every project, with a background in residential renovation, custom metal and glass fabrication and the detail driven craftsmanship that defines Atlas work. He leads every project in the field.
Rachel works alongside John on every project. One of us is always on site, the other is always available. That structure is intentional. It is how we keep communication clean and decisions consistent across the projects we take on.
Our conviction
Too many contractors accept disorganization, poor communication and unpredictability as part of the industry. We do not. Homeowners should not have to chase down updates, wonder what is happening next or feel stressed throughout the process. The experience should feel clear, organized and intentional from start to finish.
That conviction shapes every decision we make about how Atlas runs. We take on a limited number of projects so each one can be planned properly and executed to a consistent standard. The same people stay responsible from the first conversation through the final walkthrough.
Credentials and capabilities
Decades of residential work across kitchens, bathrooms, basements and whole homes.
Required for any pre-1978 property and not optional in our process.
Certified project management methods applied to every renovation, not only the largest ones.
In house capability for stair railings, shower enclosures, glass partitions and the architectural detail work most contractors subcontract or skip.
Decades of work on Victorian rowhomes, farmhouses, mid century properties and historic Bucks County homes.
The same people stay responsible from first conversation through final walkthrough. No handoffs.
